Many years of research into the development and history of the Silesian Trams have led to this fine book. But it was worth waiting for, because the authors have created a very attractive content. To describe the history of trams in Katowice and its suburbs was so extensive, that it had to be divided into two parts. Part I describes the early days until 1945. In the book, there are various photographs, 73 drawings of the rolling stock, 9 drawings, 62 maps and diagrams of track circuits, 46 reproductions of tickets, 28 reproductions of documents. The book is intended for a broad audience interested not only in public transport. The book also contains a complete fleet list. The book is written entirely in Polish, but the experienced enthusiast still has a great reference work in their hands. There is a brief summary translated into German.
